I hate greengrocers apostrophe's.

I am male, and live in the United Kingdom. I am proud of my nationality, and oppose the Americanisation of websites, such as Wikipedia: I do not agree with changing all spelling and grammar on the web in order to conform to American English standards.

I am a strong supporter of open source software, and believe that it is benificial to all concerned: both developers and end-users alike. I currently run Windows XP, but I am slowly replacing all the software that I use with open source alternatives. I am not against Microsoft on the whole; rather, I am against Internet Explorer due to its security flaws, lack of features, lack of PNG support, and, most importantly, its failure to conform to the W3C Recommendations.

I am also passionate about punctuation, and find myself spending most of my time on Wikipedia cleaning up others' punctuation.

History

I have been known as Zoggie50 ubiquitously for a few years now. It is my user name on most websites where I have accounts, and is the name I use in most video games that I own.

The name originates from my early teens. I needed to create a user name for a website. I can't remember what the website was, but it was the first time I had ever created an account on a website. I was having problems selecting a user name: the website was rejecting every user name I tried, because they had already been taken. To solve this problem, I decided to invent a word: Zoggie.

When I eventually decided to create an account on Hotmail, Zoggie was not accepted. I appended the number 50 to the end of the name, so that it would be accepted, and the name stuck.
