Global Politician

No doubt David will eventually put something up here himself but meanwhile, on his behalf:

This is the user page of David Storobin, editor-in-chief of Global Politician, a journal that "is intended to be academic and non-biased"; its approach is similar (though not identical) to Wikipedia's NPOV; it has a somewhat higher tolerance of opinion in articles, but does not carry pure opinion pieces.

David has informed several of us of his intent to "donate" certain appropriate texts from Global Politician, appropriately cited, to Wikipedia as starts of articles, additional sections, etc. At first glance some of these may look like copyvios because they will be word-for-word from Global Politician beyond fair use, but he has the necessary intellectual property rights, so they are perfectly OK. As with any other material, unless someone is being directly quoted these can then be edited freely in Wikipedia and are liable to diverge over time from Global Politician's texts.

I've verified that David says he is who he says he is: I left him a message through http://www.globalpolitician.com/contact.asp, and he got back to me with a copy of it. You can look at the history of the page you are now reading to verify that this edit was, indeed, made by Jmabel, a Wikipedia admin.
