From open-encyclopedia.com - the free encyclopedia.

I am a Harvard-trained linguist, with a specialty in Historical Linguistics. As a long-time refugee from Academia, I earn my keep as a software localization specialist and technical translator. I also teach an occasional language class or two. I am fluent in several languages and have a basic knowledge of several others. I am also very interested in the arts, especially ethnic music and ethnic dance.

I have maintained a strong interest in the history and structure of ancient and modern languages, from the totally unattested to the widely attested. Among my additional interests are: anthropology and archaeology, ancient and medieval history, ethnic and linguistic minorities, the environment, Third World studies, politics, and current events.
