Biography
My name is Doug. I am a New Zealander, living in Dunedin. I am currently a student at the University of Otago, with a BSc in pharmacology; I'm currently working on a BA in philosophy and psychology. I'm currently (very slowly) working on a book on alternative medicine, from a highly skeptical viewpoint. I have been a Wikipedian since August 12, 2004.
Wikipedia Goals
- To be bold and innovative but always maintain a neutral point of view.
- To create or update at least one high quality Wikipedia article per week.
- To create appropriate and high quality images and diagrams to improve articles.
- To experiment with alternative information such as sound, animation, films and 3D rendering.
- To make Wikipedia more accessible to people with disabilities, such as those using screen readers. (Admittedly I am not really in a position to do anything about this.)

- I am an atheist.
- I am a liberal.
- I am a proponent of science and opponent of pseudoscience.
