My name is Ashley Mark Pomeroy and that is my name.
I was born in 1976, and I am an only child. In my adult life I have been in three fights, all of which fizzled out without physical injury to either myself or the aggressor, although I did not lose and that is important to me.
Professionally, I am a typist. I work in a hospital. A few months ago, I transcribed Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven whilst listening to it playing backwards. Oh lord, give a riddle word. I love you now Krishna. I bear rent but still you beat me. Words drip my sneezy riddler, urge to snow but alley a snow shoe. But oh I believe the endless forename, the worst night! I've been once to one Krishna - over my body, my worst enemy.
For the past few length of time, I have been active on Everything2, and before that I spent a lot of period on my website. In my life I have earned roughly thirty thousand pounds as a professional writer, albeit that this sum was spread over a period of four years. I'm still looking for work, if you have money. I want your money. Give me your money. I want money. Because that's what I want.
I still dabble with music. In this respect I am very much like yourself. Like you, if I had been born in 1876 I would have led a miserable life. I can only exist today because affordable home computers exist also; I am of the first generation of Britons which did not know a world without the home computer. My PC is my television, my radio, my cinema, my typewriter and my notepad and my easel and my weasel and my badger monkey cider banana trombone, my incredible edible eggs - and joking aside, I do so love eggs.
I am in an unfortunate position. I believe I am compatible with - but uninteresting to - most of the people on Wikipedia, a place which seems to be filled with high-earning Nobel laureates. Conversely, I am incompatible with and uninterested in the totality of the people around me in the physical world, despite the fact that they do the same job as me, belong to the same social class and are theoretically of me.
I desire to assist in the creation of something excellent, worthwhile and persistent. I sincerely hope that Wikipedia becomes all of those things; in return, I ask that you do not let me down. I admire Wikipedia for several reasons, not least of which is that it is a free-for-all.
My approach to Wikipedia can be summed up with the following two points, which are firstly point one (i) in the first instance (1) if I perceive there to be a problem, and I determine that I am righteous, I will attempt to fix the problem or suggest a way which could help others to fix the problem and in the second instance (i(ii)) I shall be good.
As for aggro, to quote the bloke from 'Bad Astronomy', "never wrestle with a pig; you both get dirty, and the pig likes it". From what I have seen of the various disputes which have arisen here, no-one gets out alive.
I live in Salisbury, Wiltshire, and I grew up in Wilton, Fonthill Gifford, Dinton, Plymouth, Reading and London, but mostly in London. I am solidly working-class and mostly self-educated. I believe that it is right to have a belief, and to fight for that belief; but only if one is absolutely certain of the righteousness of that belief.
I am a tolerant person. I will fight anyone who impugns my dignity. I detest hypocrisy. I detest shallowness, stupidity, lies, abuse, bullies, falseness, opportunism and anyone who attempts to further their own agenda by presuming to champion someone or something in need of genuine support.
In general I tend to ascribe the basest and most venal of motives to the majority of people. I bow to no-one who is not prepared to bow to me; I defer to no-one who is not prepared to defer to me; I am loyal to no-one who is not prepared to be loyal to me.
And that is me.
