Hi!! I'm Adrian Pingstone, 64 years old, with two sons: John (24) and Michael (20). I live near Bristol, in the south west of England.
Thankfully I'm now retired, after working at BAe Filton for 36 years, mostly on Concorde noise and environmental problems, and on Airbus A320, A330 and A340 wing design. My hobbies are playing with this computer and trying to keep my house and garden (and wife) in order.
I started contributing pictures to Wikipedia in January 2003. Most are my own, taken on an Olympus digital camera (C750UZ).
Until 3rd April 2004 I had here a very long listing of the articles I've illustrated. This grew too tedious to maintain so now I've frozen it and put it onto a subpage called
List of Pictures (which will never be updated).
The list has about 600 articles, particularly aircraft, artists, gemstones, France, UK, ducks, cars and astronomy. Sounds good, but, as a percentage of the number of articles on Wikipedia at 3rd April 2004 (which was 238,000), it's a quarter of one percent!
There's many more pics to come!
